Toome GFC Notes

October 14, 2014

Senior Team: It was very much a case of 'Job done' last Sunday, as we beat Éire Óg by 2 points in Smithborough to seal our place in the semi finals. The focus now moves to Sunday, and our visit to Aughnamullen at 2pm. We are undoubtedly the underdogs, and will need the encouragement of all of our supporters on the day. Best of luck to the team and management.

Toome GFC Development Fund GRAND DRAW: Toome GFC are delighted to announce that we are currently selling tickets for our Grand Draw! The money is intended to assist in the Development and running of the club. First Prize is a very attractive €5000, which would be a very welcome windfall for any of us! Tickets cost €20 each, or 3 for €50. We need the help of everybody in the area, and ticket sellers are the key to the draw's success. We urge people to put in a 'big push' as other clubs have reaped the rewards of enthusiastic sales.

U13 blitz : Well done to our under 13s, who performed very impressively at the under 13 blitz in Cloghan last Thursday. We beat Clontibret and Tyholland in the group stages, losing narrowly to a very strong Monaghan Harps side. We met Killanny in the semi final, winning a thrilling game narrowly. We met Inniskeen in the final, losing by the bare minimum in a game where both sides gave everything. Panel: Cian McEneaney, Igor Wojtas, Sean Callan, Kevin Tibby, James McMahon (c), Andrew Connolly, Patrick McMahon, Liam Murphy, Eoin Gorman, Patrick McGinn, Shane McCooey, Thomas McMahon.

U15 Blitz: The under 15s are out this Thursday night, blitz starts at 7:30pm, meeting in Cloghan at 7pm.
