Lennon out of action

Monaghan's Eoin Lennon
Monaghan midfielder Eoin Lennon is set to miss the rest of the Allianz National League Division 1 campaign.

Lennon picked up a calf injury during the defeat to Down last week.

And the injury looks severe enough to keep the Latton clubman out of the games against Kerry and Mayo over the next two weekends.

Another concern surrounds key forward Paul Finlay, who is nursing a shoulder problem, while Darren Hughes (neck) and Vinny Corey (hamstring) are expected to miss this weekend's visit of the Kingdom to Inniskeen.

Eamonn McEneaney's men are currently second from bottom on the Division 1 table and facing relegation to the second tier.

While relegation could boil down to the clash of Monaghan and Mayo in Inniskeen on Sunday week, the Farney men's fate will be sealed if they lose to Kerry this weekend and Mayo overcome Cork in Castlebar.
