A final, two semi finals and a quarter final. In the end Meath Hill claimed their first championship title in 37 years. St. Michaels and Curraha advanced to the IFC final while Summerhill defeated O'Mahonys to set up a semi-final win with Gaeil Colmcille.
We pick our Best XV
1 Dominic Yorke Meath Hill
Comfortably dealt with everything that came his way, kept a clean sheet and delivered great kick outs as Meath Hill advanced to the Intermediate grade.
2 Ryan Owens Meath Hill
Was at the heart of a Meath Hill defence that restricted the Moylagh attack to three points from play at a wet Pairc Tailteann.
3 Niall Murphy Curraha
Fast becoming one of the best number 3's in the county. Excellent once again in the semi-final win and got on the score sheet.
4 Darren Gibney Moylagh
Phenomenal work rate from the young defender. Scored a point and pushed forward at every opportunity in an attempt to get his team back into the JFC final at Pairc Tailteann.
5 Padraig Geraghty Summerhill
His trademark forward runs kept Navan O'Mahonys on the back foot over the hour under lights in Ashbourne as Johnny Lyons' men made it to the last four.
6 Kieran Slavin Meath Hill
The young defender was tasked with picking up Moylagh dangerman Sean Reilly and carried out his duties to great effect in this memorable day for The Hill.
7 Peter O'Connell St. Michaels
Started in midfield but could have been picked in numerous positions on this team. One of the best foot passers of the ball in the county. A real playmaker in that win over Nobber at Navan.
8 Jason Yorke Meath Hill
A tremendous showing for the midfielder that earned him our Man of the Match Award. Scored three points from play in that historic JFC final win.
9 Phelim O'Reilly St Michaels
Answered his club call by coming back from the Middle East and proceeded to dominate the middle of the park in that semi-final win over neighbours Nobber.
10 Jason Scully Oldcastle
Put in a terrific shift for the North Meath club, made the penalty, scored two points and covered every bit of Pairc Tailteann in that IFC semi final loss to Curraha.
11 Ciaran Lynch St. Michaels
Scored a goal and six and was involved in most of his team's forward play as the Carlanstown Kilbeg outfit advanced to the IFC decider.
12 James Mooney Meath Hill
The Meath Under 21 was one of the stars on show in the Junior decider. Kicked two fine points despite spending most of the hour in a defensive role.
13 Barry Dardis Summerhill
An overall fine display from the talented forward, top scorer with 1-3 as Summerhill defeated O'Mahonys to advance to the last four at Ashbourne. An outstanding first half goal and a 45 struck excellently into the gale hauled the Hill back into the game
14 Conor Moriarty Curraha
Quiet enough in the opening 15 minutes but when play opened up in the semi-final win over Oldcastle the talented attacker was immense for the winners. Th' Ha's' top score with four points.
15 Seanie Dalton Summerhill
Scored a goal and two and gave the O'Mahonys defence a torrid hour in that quarter-final win.
