Dunboyne 4-18 Clann Na nGael 0-13

Dunboyne justified their favourites tag with this comfortable win over Clann na nGael in the last round of the Senior Hurling Championship Group A at Lomans Park Trim.

The introduction of Michael Dunne had a big bearing on the second half. Dunne hit 3-2 to break the Clann Na nGael resistance as Dunboyne went on to record a 17 point win.

The win leaves St Peters top of the group but that could change depending on the outcome of the Trim versus Rataoath clash tonight in Pairc Tailteann.

Clann Na nGael battled till the end but the Athboy Rathcairn outfit found the going tough in this years campaign and failed to register a point over the five games. They will face either Blackhall Gaels or Boardsmill in the relegation final.

Dunboyne led at the break 1-9 to 0-7. Centre forward Gerard Murphy got their opening goal as the teams went in at the break with only five points separating them.
