Ballinabrackey Report

Ballinabrackey 1-10 Nobber 0-13

On a lovely night for football Ballinabrackey made the trip to Nobber to play the 4th round of Division 2 of the All County League. Both teams started brightly with Ballinabrackey opening the scoring, with 2 points on the board for both teams early in the game Nobber then took control. Ballinabrackey were wasteful up front and Nobber were sharper down the other end and opening up a gap of 4 points before the end of the first half.

Upon the resumption Ballinabrackey made a super start and scored 1.3 to Nobber's 1 point in the opening stages and managed to get in front. However Nobber steadied themselves and through the accurate boot of Brian Farrell levelled proceedings and took the lead again. However to their credit Ballinabrackey fought back again and got the equalizing score. On a night when both teams could have won the game but neither deserved to lose, a draw was a fair result.
