Trim and Dunderry took home the silverware at the end of u15 hurling summer 7's held in Dunganny on Saturday 23rd July. 8 teams made the journey to the Meath Centre of Excellence on a sunny summers day and were graded into cup and shield knockout semifinals after 12 round robin games.
This was a great opportunity for the u15 hurlers to showcase & develop their hurling skills - and another opportunity to impress the u14, u15 , and u16 Meath Talent Academy managers who were all in attendance.
Trim were eventually crowned winners after they overcame a strong challenge from near neighbours Kildalkey in the cup final. Earlier, Trim had qualified for the final by beating Boardsmill/Rathmolyon, while Kildalkey overcame a strong Ratoath side.
Dunderry won the shield against their near neighbours Clan na nGael. Both of these teams qualified for the shield final after victories over Kilmessan and Killyon/Longwood in the semi-finals.
