Kevin Darby has swapped his playing boots for the managers bib for the coming season.

Darby who is now in his 38th year will be hoping for success in the coming season as the Bracks will try reach the holy grail that is playing senior championship football in 2017.

Ballinabrackey have never been in the senior ranks in their 94 year history but will be hoping the long wait could soon be over.

Darby  was a vital cog in the 2010 team that won both the county and Leinster Junior Football titles.

In their 5 years of intermediate status they have been beaten quarter finalists, semi finalists and came closest of all in 2014 when they lost out narrowly to Ballinlough in the decider.

Under the guidance of Tony Dalton the Bracks defeated Meath Hill in the 2015 Division 3 league final. The club returns to Division 2 football after a 10 year absence when they stints in both Division 4 and Division 3.
