Black and Amber - A history of Dunshaughlin GAA

The President of the GAA, Aogán Ó Fearghail, will launch the history of the GAA in Dunshaughlin on Saturday 10th October in the Black Bush Golf Club at 7.30 p.m.

The book, Black and Amber: A History of the GAA in the Parish of Dunshaughlin 1886-2014 runs to 700 pages with 500 photographs.

It covers the history of the GAA in the parish from 1886 to the present day and includes sections on Drumree, Royal Gaels, the St. Martins juvenile club, handball and camogie as well as records of Gaelic games in the local primary schools and in Dunshaughlin Community College.

The hardback book is in colour throughout and is a limited edition with a print run of 650 copies.

The authors are Jim Gilligan, the former Principal of St. Seachnall's NS and Patsy McLoughlin, a man synonymous with Dunshaughlin GAA.

The book costs €30 and will be on sale at the launch or may be ordered in advance on www.dunshaughlingaa.com
