SHC : Maximum points for Kildalkey

August 31, 2015

Kildalkey came through Group B of the SHC unbeaten

Kildalkey 4-22 Rathmolyon 2-3

Kildalkey rounded off their SHC group stages campaign with a 25 point victory over Rathmolyon at sunny Trim on Sunday.

Kildalkey started well and led by 7 points at the break 1-9 to 1-2 Derek Doran scoring the goal and a point but later got injured and had to leave the field after a long delay  much to the disappointment of the Kildalkey supporters to see him limp off.

This seemed to knock the village men off their stride a bit scoring only 1 more point after that before half time . The other scorers were Podger Geoeghan (2) Mark Healy(3) Martin Healy (2) and Sean Heavey.

The second half got their minds focused and early goals from Sean Heavey and Padraig Keogh knocked the stuffing out of Rathmolyon and an array of points from the Healys, Heavey, 2 beauty's from Martin Doran, Padraig Keogh, Geoeghan and the returning Francy Doran made it a good day all round for the Kildalkey men who now play Trim or Blackhall Gaels in the semi final in a few weeks time.
