Curraha got their second win of the Junior A campaign with a hard fought win over Wolfe Tones played in perfect conditions in Walterstown.

Tones opened the scoring but Curraha score three unanswered points as well as three wide's. David Toner got Curraha's opening score and this was followed by Neil Shortall point. Conor Moriarty made it 3-1 from a placed ball and Tones then replied with their own pointed free to make a one point game after twenty minutes. Curraha then got two goals inside two minutes with the first coming from Ciaran O'Hanrahan. His inside partner Ian McManus got the second and it looked like Curraha were going to kick on from here but Wolfe Tones didn't give in and they responded well and finished the half the better with three unanswered frees. Another point from Moriarty increased Curraha's lead to five points at the break.

Curraha started the second half the better and inside the opening ten minutes they had 1-01 on the board after a Moriarty point and another goal from O'Hanrahan. However Wolfe Tones responded well again and showed great heart. They raised the green flag midway through the second half to leave six points between the sides. Curraha were on the back foot but substitutes Padraig O'Hanrahan and Locky Keogh added points to steady the ship for the ha men. Phelim Dowling also added a well taken point after good defending from Niall Murphy. Wolfe Tones finished the game strongly and got their second goal after a 45 dropped short and was finished to the net. They added a point shortly afterwards and although they were on the front foot for the last few minutes Curraha held on for the win.
