Simonstown's Hank Traynor

Simonstown defeated Dunboyne on a 3-17 to 2-15 in the 3rd round of the Junior A Championship played in Skyrne on Saturday May 23rd.

Simonstown led 0-13 to 0-7 at half-time.

Brin Conlon made his adult debut for Simonstown and started at midfield along side the excellent Robbie Burlingham who scored 0-3 from play. John Lunney also was in fine form scoring 1-5 from centre forward.

Ben Hoey scored 0-6 , 0-4 from frees and James Heaney and substitute Donagh Fitzpatrick added the other goals.

This was an excellent game of football and great credit has to go to both teams for producing some great football. When Dunboyne did come back, credit must go to the Simonstown defence in particular Shane McGivney and Hank Traynor.
