Walterstown faced Dunderry in the Junior B Div 2 league in Walterstown on Sunday afternoon.

Dunderry and Walterstown traded early scores in this match with the sides level with 2 point each after 10 minutes. Walterstown then got 2 points in less than a minute through M.McCormack & B.O'Connell to open up a 2 point gap between the sides.

Dunderry responded with 2 points to bring the sides level. G.McGuinness and C.Cullen had the blacks back in front after 22 minutes however Dunderry scored 2 points in injury time to bring the sides level once again. HT Score Walterstown 0- 6 v Dunderry 0-6.

Dunderry started the 2nd half the strongest scoring 2 early points , Brian O'Connell pointed from a free after 4 minutes to bring it to just a point between the sides, Dunderry once again opened a 2 point gap with a free of their own after 9 minutes. Both sides struggled for scores in the second half where we eneted a period of 8 minutes with no score, however Walterstown finished the game the strongest with D.Traynor and M.McCormack scoring in the 17th and 19th minute to bring the sides level. Ray Reynolds scored 1-01 in the last 10 minutes to ensure that the Blacks would be picking up the points.

Senior Ladies - Walterstown 4-5 v Ballivor 5-2
Walterstown travelled to Ballivor in round 2 of the league on Sunday afternoon.

Ballivor got off the mark the quickest scoring a goal with 5 minutes gone. E.Hennelly opened the scoring for the blacks a minute later before J.Donnellan reduced the gap to 1 point with 13 minutes gone. Ballivor however hit back with their 2nd goal of the game to lead by 4 points with 15 minutes gone. Julie Donnellan brought it back to a goal between the sides with 20 minutes gone. E.Hennelly then had the sides level hitting the back of the net and J.Donnellan added a 2nd goal after a fine solo run from the half back line before rifling into the roof of the net, this put the blacks ahead for the first time in the match. J.Donnellan added a point just before half time to give Walterstown a 2-04 to 2-0 lead at the break.

Ballivor came out quickest in the second half and soon found themeselves level scoring 1-01 in the opening 5 minutes. Ballivor then went back ahead when once again they hit the back of the net. E.Hennelly brought it back to just 2 between the sides before Ballivor scored their 5th goal of the match to go 5 ahead with 15 minutes gone. M.Grey who had come on as a sub a t ht soon cancelled out this goal with a goal of her own 2 minutes later to bring it back to just 2 between the sides. Ballivor left it a goal between the sides adding a point with 23 minutes gone. With time running out M.Grey found herself one v one against the goalie and coolly slotted it to the back of the net to leave the the sides finishing level - Full time score Ballivor 5-02 v Walterstown 4-05
