Meath's John Wilson and Matthew Halpin go highest against Louth at Ashbourne

Meath take on Tipperary in the last group game of the Leinster Minor Football League this Saturday February 28th in Pairc Tailteann at 1.30.

The young Royals currently sit at the top of Group D with two wins from two outings. Tipperary and Louth each have two points. Longford have yet to record a win.

Team manager Denis O'Shea has given game time to over 30 players in the two games to date. Conor Nash should return to the squad having missed last weeks trip to Edgeworthstown because of his involvement with the Ireland U18 Club rugby team.

Should Meath beat Tipperary they will top the group and play the winners of group C that includes Dublin, Offaly, Westmeath and Limerick. If the Munster boys win along with Longford beating Louth then Tipperary go through as group winners. If Tipp and Louth win then it could result in a 3 way play off including Meath.
