Syddan had two points to spare over Ballinabrackey
All the first round matches in the Corn Na Boinne Cup were close affairs. Syddan had a two points win over last years intermediate championship finalists Ballinabrackey. Ratoath had the minimum to spare over junior champions Cortown. In the Tailteann Cup Bective got their defence of to a winning start. Junior B outfit Moynalty had a good win over Dunsany while Meath Hill sent over 19 points against St Pauls.
