St.Peters Dunboyne v St.Patricks ACFL Div 1 Game 2 15.02.15

An extremely difficult game for the visitors to get a grip on in the first half with the strong winds and the strong opposition, very much comfortable with the home venue. St.Pats had a few early chances thwarted by the strong goalkeeping of Johhny Connor from both forwards of Neil O' Flaherty and Donal Landy. The St. Patricks defence was under major pressure throughout the whole of the first half and if it were not for the brave goalkeeping of Robert Cluskey the Pats would have been further behind.

The second half saw a very much more improved Pats Team with Niall Mooney and Ciaran Calvey involved with some fine moves, the Pats appeared to be getting back somewhat but were again denied goals from the Dunboyne Keeper O' Connor. Definitely a learning curve for the young St. Pats players and hard work from everyone on the day from Andrew Reilly, Alan Vickers and Adam Byrne and David Mc Quillan to the Subs who contributed to the continued pressure.
Daithi Whyte certainly making an impact when introduced.
