Leinster Club IHC: Kiltale's late, late show

November 08, 2014

Kiltale's Jack Regan

Kiltale (Meath) 1-13
Ballinakill (Laois) 1-10

An injury-time goal saw Meath champions Kiltale book their place in the Leinster Club IHC final at the expense of Ballinakill in O'Moore Park today.

Both teams lined out in their respective county jerseys and an early goal gave Ballinakill the perfect start.

A Jack Regan point helped settle Kiltale nerves and the Meath champions fought back to restore parity by the break, 1-4 to 0-7.

The second-half was nip and tuck throughout but a 31st minute goal swung the result in Kiltale's favour.

Interestingly, Paddy Kelly could find himself in the opposite corner to his home club if he successfully steers Coill Dubh of Kildare to victory over St. Patricks/Mullinavat of Kilkenny in the second semi-final next weekend.
