Moynalty keeper Jonathan Lynch clears his lines as Luke Heeney closes in during the MFC Division 4 final at Pairc Tailteann

There were two minor football championship finals down for decision tonight in Pairc Tailteann.

Moynalty claimed the Division 4 title with a 3-9 to 0-5 win ober Duleek Bellewstown in the opening match. Thanks to a well taken goal from Fiachra Gallagher the winners led 1-5 to 0-2 at the break. Patrick Farrelly converted a penalty and Karl Lynch raised their third green flag as Moynalty ran out convincing winners.

St Patricks and Killary Emmets will have to do it all over again. The teams finished level 2-9 each in the Division 3 final. The Stamullen men led at the break 2-3 to 1-4. Aaron Kenna and Conor Tully posted the Pats goal while Brian Carroll netted for Killary. St Pats were a point up and looked set to claim victory but Daire Rowe converted a free to earn a draw.
