This U21 H.C quarter-final was played in Athboy on a windy Saturday afternoon, Dunderry fielded 6 players from the wining I.H.C team and looked full of energy and went at Killyon from the first whistle.

Luke Martyn opened the scoring with 2 free's in the 6th & 8th minutes, Alex Walsh and Simon Carty followed with well taken scores in the 9th & 16th minute. John Moran scored the first goal in the 17th minute after a surging run passed 3 defenders and found the bottom corner of the net. This was followed by 2 goals from Stephen Coogan in the 19th & 21st minutes, in the 23rd minute Killyon adding registered their first score with a goal. Carty was running his marker ragged with his pace and in the 27th minute he took him on from the halfway line soloed to the 21yrd line and fired over a fine point to leave Dunderry leading at halftime 3-5 to 1-3.

2nd half saw Killyon come out firing and scored 2 quick points but Dunderry replied and in a 7 minute spell Walsh scored 1-2 and Martyn knocked over a free, Killyon scored another goal in the 39th minute. Conor O'Shea and Cathal Ryan were superb and O'Shea got his reward with a well taken free in the 50th minute. Brendan Wright, Conor Dempsey and Aron Feeney were outstanding in defence alongside Dylan Keenan. Killyon still didn't go away and fought hard till the end with 2 goals in the final minutes one a penalty but Dunderry won by a final score of 4-11 to 4-5.
