U13: Slane boys defeat Dunderry

October 13, 2014

Slane Boys u13s beat Dunderry 9-17 to 2-8 in the cup semi-final this morning in Slane with an efficient scoring display.

Good teamwork, direct running and some fine scores put Slane in the driving seat early in this game. Dunderry then put some points on the board but a terrific reflex save from Kyle Tallon kept the score in favour of Slane as the first half came to an end. Good work from Adam Canning at wing back and tireless running from Jake Harrop who tracked a roaming full forward around the pitch, kept Dunderry in check.

Slane started the second half like a steam train and the match was over pretty quickly as Dunderry struggled to stay with the powerful running
of the Slane backs and midfield who worked in tandem to feed the eager forward line.

Slane meet Ballivor in the final next Sunday morning in Navan O'Mahony's at 11AM.

Huge thanks to the field team who again worked to have the pitch in tip top condition for this game.
