U 14 Hurling SEMI Final Knock-Out
Boardsmill/Rathmoylon 0-12
Ratoath 1-08

Ratoath played into a strong breeze in the first half and were well incontention at half time with a Shane McGoldrick goal and a brace of points from Cian Rogers keeping Ratoath well in the game.

The breeze allowed the Boardsmill and Rathmoylon lads to pick off points from distance, but strong play from Aaron O'Flaherty, NiallMcLarnon and Daithi McGowan ensured that the damage was kept to the minimum.
HT Boardsmill and Rathmoylon 0-06 Ratoath 1-02

Although the wind had died noticeably during the interval, Ratoath started the second period in determined fashion with some very sharp hurling that yielded points from Harry Haskins(2), Rogers and a peach from Sean Johnston. The platform was provided in the middle third by Tadgh McCann, Ruairi Crawford and Padraic Byrne. A period of dominance
followed for the senior combination outfit who reeled off 3 points to go level again with 10 minutes to go. The final minutes were frantic as both sides passed up chances to secure the win. In the end, Boardsmill and Rathmoylon nicked the final score to go through. Credit to both sides for serving up a super game of hurling. A superb all round effort from all the Ratoath panel, a special mention to our keeper and full back line who hurled solidly throughout.
