The Jim Hogan Couriers Connacht U21 Hurling Tournament semi-final takes place this Monday (June 27th) evening at 7:45 pm in Elvery's  MacHale Park. The match sees current champions Mayo host Sligo in the second year of this tournament which is sponsored by Jim Hogan Couriers, Westport.

 

The Mayo team is managed by Castlebar Mitchels' John Waldron with current Mayo Senior players Donal O'Brien and Adrian Brennan acting as team coaches. Austin Kenny, Tooreen is also a team selector. The new management team will be looking to several senior Mayo players, including David Kenny, Fergal Boland, Davog Freyne, David Harrison (All Tooreen), Corey Scahill and Sean Mulroy (Both Castlebar Mitchels) to form the spine of their team.

 

Prior to this match on Monday evening the Mayo Hurling Poc Fada competition will take place on the main pitch at Elvery's MacHale Park at 7pm. Clubs are requested to nominate two players at Senior and U16 grades where appropriate to participate. The winners will go forward to represent Mayo in the Connacht finals at the Connacht Centre Bekan on Monday 4th July.
