Extra trains for Mayo fans

Irish Rail has confirmed that it is putting on six extra trains for Mayo supporters.

There's good news for Mayo fans travelling to Croke Park for next Sunday's sell-out All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Dublin.

Irish Rail has confirmed that it is putting on six extra trains for supporters. Additional Longford and Maynooth services will also be available. 

The following services have been added to the regular 7.50am service from Westport: 8.25am Westport-Dublin; 8.45am Westport-Dublin; 9.05am Ballina-Dublin; 6.20pm Dublin-Westport; 7.10pm Dublin-Ballina; 7.20pm Dublin-Westport.

Fine Gael TD and former Mayo manager John O'Mahony had last week called on Irish Rail to ensure that there are sufficient trains for Mayo supporters who wish to travel by rail.
