Sheelan Cup: We got our season under way on Sunday morning with a hard fought draw against the Blues. The conditions played a big part in the game with us failing to score in the first half against the wind. Eleven points down five minutes into the second half the lad made a great comeback and nearly won the game. As you can see from the team below we fielded a young side and a few not so young, and congratulation to Kyle Daniels, James Luckie and Liam Kiernan who all made their senior debut for the club. We play the Clans next Sunday morning in Dundalk.

Selectors: The club are looking for selectors for our division 6 team for the season ahead. We the committee have received no names for these positions, so if you are interested or you know someone who is definitely interested please give their names to a member of the committee as soon as possible.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 15th February at 8.00pm, jackpot €2,100 in 48 numbers.
Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 18th February in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, Music by Unity, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
Registration: Our Juvenile registration night will be on Friday 3rd March in our clubrooms from 5pm to 6pm. If your child wishes to play for O'Connell's they must be registered with the club, the fee for 2017 is €15 per child and €20 for two or more children, for more info contact our youth officer 087-9008551 or any of our underage coaches.
CÚL Camp: The 2017 GAA Kellogg's Cl Camp will be in our club from 17/7/17 to 21/7/17 and our camp coordinator is Mark McNamee 086 6009146.
Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Sharon 086-1631310.
