Under 12, 10/7/15: Bad time of year with holidays etc. but still some parents can't text to let you know if there son is coming to game. We had 12 players for this game played in Stabannon against the O Raghallaighs who had 15-20 players. They were very strong with some lovely footballers and we were absolutely white washed in first half although our lads could have shown some spirit but they decided not to which is always disappointing. In the second half all we could ask for was some pride and show some fighting spirit which thankfully we did and give a good account of ourselves scoring 1-8 compared to 0-1 in the first half. We were never going to claw back the first half scoring of the O'Raghallaighs but we did show that there is some good football in the team and with some work they will get much better for next year. We have a couple of games left at U12 but I am still convinced we are in two high of a grade, being in division1 is fine if you have a large pick of players but we don't and it is hard to keep the players upbeat when the get heavy defeats like this game. For O Connell's Dirmuid Martin, Tadgh Kearney, Darragh Mc Donnell, Calium Woods.
