Portlaoise remain on course for a 10-in-a-row of Laois SFC titles after they came from six-points down to see off St Joseph's by 0-12 to 1-5 in their quarter-final replay tonight.

Having forced a dramatic 1-11 each draw last Saturday, Joseph's picked up where they left off at O'Moore Park with a strong opening 30 minutes that saw them 1-4 to 0-3 infront at the break. Kevin Campion's 15th minute goal helped propel the Kellyville side into a 1-4 to 0-1 lead before 'The Town' responded with points from Gareth Dillon and Craig Rogers.

Against the wind in the second-half, Portlaoise had it all to do but they showed true character to battle back and five successive points moved them ahead with 10 minutes remaining - 0-8 to 1-4. Joseph's could only muster one white flag after the interval as the 'The Town' took control of proceedings.

Both teams were reduced to 14-men when Paul Cotter (Portlaoise) and Matty Campion (St Joseph's) were sent off but the champions closed out the contest with another string of points from Paul Cahillane, Dillon and Kieran Lillis.

The complete line-up for the semi-finals is now known with Portlaoise pitted against Arles-Killeen and Crettyard clashing with Stradbally.
