This weekend sees the Laois senior hurling semi-finals take place at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.

After a tough campaign, the SHC is down to just four teams and all four will have genuine designs of going on and winning the title at this stage.

Camross are looking for their third final appearance in three years as they prepare to take on Ballinakill and they will be strong favourites to do so.

However, they face a Ballinakill side that are very much in bonus territory and have little to lose at this stage of the championship, having won the 'A' title last year.

The second semi-final is certainly getting a higher billing as Borris-Kilcotton and Clough-Ballacolla go head to head.

The latter had a great win over Rathdowney-Errill in the quarterfinal, but they face another test when they take on the form side in the championship.

Borris-Kilcotton are still seeking their first final appearance and experience is key at this stage, which could see Clough-Ballacolla through to the final.
