Pearce Hanley was to the fore as the Brisbane Lions sent Zach Tuohy's Carlton to the bottom of the AFL table on Saturday.
Mayo's Hanley, who is the Brisbane vice-captain, bagged two goals as the Lions cruised to a 131-67 victory at the Gabba. Both Hanley and Tuohy collected 14 possessions each, but the Laois man failed to get on the scoresheet.
The Lions had been on an 11-match losing streak before Saturday's result, which leaves Carlton as the basement side with only three matches of the home and away season remaining.
