Duffy feels for players

Mountrath CS joint manager Lorcan Duffy admits that the players gave it their all in the All-Ireland B Colleges hurling final.

The Laois side lost out to Cross and Passion from Antrim at Semple Stadium last Saturday in what was their first final appearance.

Speaking to the Leinster Express, Duffy said: "It's very disappointing. I suppose it's the old mantra, you have to lose one to appreciate winning one and they were outstanding in terms of their hunger to get on the ball.

"You can't really buy that kind of attitude. We were second best to a lot of the ball. We can't have too many complaints really. The better team won on the day."
