Following the furore over the senior football championship, attention turns to the SHC semi finals down for decision this weekend.

Favourites for the title Rathdowney-Errill have certainly been the form team of the championship so far and they are tipped to see off the challenge of Abbeyleix in their semi final.

Defending champions Camross face a tough clash against Clough-Ballacolla in their encounter and the latter have improved as the championship has progressed.

This could set the scene for a repeat of the 2012 county final that saw Rathdowney-Errill overcome Clough-Ballacolla in the decider.
