Portlaoise's chances of regaining the Laois senior hurling championship has received a boost as both Tommy Fitzgerald and Zane Keenan have returned to the club.

Both had travelled to the states for the summer to play with clubs over there, but Keenan started on the bench for their draw against Clough-Ballacolla.

Fitzgerald is to return in the next week and both county players will be welcome addition to the Portlaoise squad for the remainder of the championship.
