Two thousand and fifteen will be a year that Na Piarsaigh's David Dempsey will not forget in a hurry.

Last Sunday, Dempsey picked up his fifth championship medal of the year as the Limerick champions added the Munster title to their county title won earlier in the year.

The 20-year-old won provincial and All-Ireland under-21 medals and a Limerick under-21 hurling medal to cap what is truly a remarkable year for the youngster.

The county under-21 medal was his fourth in a row and two years ago, he won Munster minor honours with Limerick as well as county and Munster club SHC titles.

"Five out of five is great - the only blip we had was against Adare in a group game in the senior championship when we drew," Dempsey told the Limerick Leader.

"I can't describe how this feels to win this with all your club mates for the second time is brilliant. It's been unreal - someone said it to me the other day that I haven't lost a game for club or county this year.

"To go through a year like this unbeaten is great. It's been a great year with club and county for me and I am very grateful to all team mates who made all the hard work pay off."
