Cuala put on an impressive scoring display to defeat Ballyboden St. Enda's 0-27 to 1-21 in yesterday's Dublin SHC semi-final at Parnell Park.

Ballyboden's county star Paul Ryan scored a whopping 1-17, but still finished on the losing side. At the other end, David Treacy posted 0-14, while Mark Schutte shot 0-6 from play, to help the Dalkey men book their place in the decider.

There had been little to separate the teams until Cuala reeled off four unanswered points late in the first half to lead by 0-14 to 0-9 at the break. Ryan buried a 45th minute penalty for 'Boden and added two quick points to leave the minimum in it, 1-16 to 0-20, but Cuala were able to close out the game with scores from Schutte, Barry Connolly and Colm Cronin.

Cuala's opponents in the final will be either Lucan Sarsfields or St. Jude's. Eleven points from Kevin O'Reilly helped Sars to a 3-18 to 1-15 victory over O'Toole's in their quarter-final replay, which preceded the Cuala v Ballyboden semi-final.
