Jason Flynn is looking forward to facing Jackie Tyrrell again on Sunday.

The fit-again Galway attacker was shadowed by the teak-tough Kilkenny defender in what was only his second championship game last year, and knows what to expect in this weekend's Leinster SHC final.

"It was only my second game and it was a bit surreal having him there beside me," Flynn is quoted in the Irish Sun.

"He started centre back and he came back marking me. He's tough opposition all right.

"He's very fast, a lot faster than people might think. Look, he's a great defender and everyone knows it. He's a very sticky marker and he's having another good year.

"I learned an awful lot from it and it was great that I got the opportunity to do it. I was only 19 and I learned hugely from it. We played them earlier on in the league and playing them last year helped me an awful lot.

"It was a lot easier than last year. The experience from last year and the learning curve is great."
