Kilcormac /Killoughey's brilliant run in the Offaly SHC continued yesterday evening when they equalled Birr's record of 26 games without defeat.

Danny Owens' charges continued their quest for a four-in-a-row of Sean Robbins Cup when late points from Dan Currams and Brian Leonard saw them edge out the aforementioned Birr on a 0-17 to 1-11 scoreline in Banagher.

In a terrific contest played in miserable conditions, an Emmett Nolan goal gave Birr the early initiative, but the double Ks fought back to regain parity (0-11 to 1-8) at half-time before finishing the stronger.

In yesterday's other Offaly SHC ties, Coolderry beat Shinrone 0-14 to 0-9, Kinnitty powered to a 2-21 to 0-8 victory over Brosna Gaels, while Belmont squeezed out Tullamore 0-18 to 2-11.
