Quinn named Saffrons captain

21 December 2011

Antrim manager Jerry Wallace
Loughgiel Shamrocks star Damien Quinn has been named the 2012 Antrim hurling captain.

Quinn has been handed the captaincy, while Michael Herron will be the vice-captain and manager Jerry Wallis believes that the Loughgiel player deserves the opportunity to lead the Saffrons.

Wallis told the Antrim GAA site: "This was the last duty as team manager to fulfil before the start of the 2012 campaign. Damien represents the County Champions - Loughgiel, and is a very experienced player on and off the field. Michael Herron also represents the same ethos."
