Richie Murray
There are three championship debutants named in the Galway team which will take on Derry in the All-Ireland SHC quarter-final at Croke Park on Sunday. Manager Noel Lane has placed his faith in last year's U-21 star Derek Hardiman, All-Ireland winning minor Richie Murray and Turloughmore's Darren O'Shaughnessy for his first championship outing in charge of the maroon and whites. In total there are ten changes made from the team which lost to Kilkenny in last year's All-Ireland semi-final. Goalie Michael Crimmons, corner-back Ollie Canning, midfielder David Tierney and forwards Joe Rabbitte and Mark Kerins are the only ones who will play in the same positions. Galway (SHC v Derry) - M Crimmons; G Kennedy, M Healy, O Canning; D Hardiman, L Hodgins, C Moore; D Tierney, R Murray; J Rabbitte, M Kerins, L Broderick; A Kerins, E Cloonan, D O'Shaughnessy.
