Railway Cup winners

(Oldest Posts First)

Trying to get a bit of information together. Does anyone know of any Railway Cup winners from ''weaker" counties?

For example players from the likes of Roscommon with Connacht in hurling? Kildare, Carlow etc with Leinster in hurling?

I would at a guess say most counties have had a player who who a football Railway Cup. I know fellas from Waterford, Tipp etc have with Munster. Same with Longford, louth and the likes with Leinster

The following names come to mind, Jobber Mc Grath, Westmeath, hurling. Paddy Molloy, Offaly, and Paddy Quirke Carlow, both hurling with Leinster.
In football, Packie Mc Garty, Leitrim and Connacht, PT Treacy, Fermanagh. I'm of an age to remember those players from so called weaker counties. Some one might confirm if any of the above won Railway Cup honours with their provinces.

Mayo's Keith Higgins has won both railway cup winners medals, he was a part of the Connacht hurling team which won in 2005 and the Connacht footballers won 2014
