Connolly let down his team mates

(Oldest Posts First)

What the hell was he thinking? They are on the attack and he gets involved in that nonsense and get's himself sent off.

He will never learn. A waste of talent.

Connolly was in no way the losing of the game today.

It was crazy to throw a punch but there's a few players very lucky not to have seen red today from both sides. They all got away with it but Connolly didn't.

I think at this stage D. Connolly's reputation is preceding him. Losing him not a big loss to Dublin in my opinion. Mayo very lucky to day.

To fairness if you saw what Keegan done throughout the game.

Haven't seen it back yet but looked like again the red mist descended. The big names didn't do it today, Flynn, Connolly and MDM, and when you consider the men who we lost, we did very well to hang on. Clucko's misses were crucial and if Joe had been half as generous to us as he was to Mayo, we would have won comfortably. Still, we're still in the mix. That's all that counts.

No he didn't. I was at the game and saw it clearly. Lee Keegan was pinning Connolly down for at least 30 seconds which the linesman saw. He has to defend himself at some point. Keegan deserved at least black if not red. Please know the facts before commenting unlike the previous posters on this topic.

Joxer I'll give you the benifit of the doubt right now you said you have't watched it back yet Dublin were lucky not to have 4 sent off When Mayo tackled you you got the free when you tackled Mayo 75% of the time you got the free for Mayo holding on to the ball McQuillan was ridiculasy one sided to Dublin In my opinion nither of the penalties given were penalties but O'Shea's was he was dragged down

Connally a fantastic footballer but needs to show more maturity in big games. In saying that though, do the top top players get enough protection from referees.

His sending off didnt lose the game. But his head had gone well before the incident and that certainly contributed to dublin not winning.
