Hurling All-Stars 2015

(Oldest Posts First)

Now that we are down to the last four I think we have a fair idea of who is in contention for an All-Star. The top four usually make up the entire All-Star list barring one or two.

Heres who I think is deserving of an All-Star from each county

Kilkenny
Richie Hogan
Tj Reid
Eoin Larkin
Paul Murphy

Tipp
Bubbles O Dwyer
Seamus Callanan
Padraig Maher

Galway
Cathal Mannion
Jason Flynn

Waterford
Maurice Shannahan (HOTY)
Tadgh De Burca
Austin Glesson
Kevin Moran

I cant think of anyone from another county. Perhaps Tony Kelly of Clare. Just go to show what a poor year it has been.

They don't, the two finalists dominate the All-Stars list. These are the figures (number of players from the two finalists) for the last four years. 2010 - 11, 2011 - 12, 2012 - 11, 2013 - 11, 2014 - 13. You're better off waiting to see who the two finalists are before thinking about All-Stars.

Can't argue with the names in the first post, but the 3 games (minimum) left will have a huge bearing with the final weighted about 70% out of the 3 games.

Maurice Shanahan has probably done the most to get an all star, taking up the free taking duties and generally lifting Waterford. Kevin Moran is just a warrior, dependable, gives it all for the shirt. The three Tipp lads could all lose any chances of an All Star if they are beaten by Galway.

Waterford beat Cork by 5, lost to Tipp by 5 and then beat Dublin by 5 but have 4 on your list?
In my opinion they haven't been that impressive.Lets see how they fare on August 9th.
