Despite not reaching the heights of 2013, the 2014 championship still had a few crackers and some are probably overlooked. Some of the league matches were fairly good too. Heres my top 5 in both hurling and football and Over all top 5.

Clare and Wexford was a cracker, last Sundays Munster Hurling final was some feast of scores but my own favourite was Cork and Kerry in the last game to be played in the park

Hurling

Limerick v Kilkenny - the conditions that day were as bad as I've ever seen. Was standing on the Hill and at one point the Canal End was barely visible yet the standard of hurling was magnificent.

I'm a lover of hurling and the drawn final was an epic but for me the best game was Kerry - Mayo Replay. I just couldn't take my eye off it, I'll never forget the way Kerry just kept going and wouldn't accept defeat

Should have put an honourable mention to the Tipp and Limerick game too. That was a cracker! Limerick played out of their skins this year (Apart from the Munster Final) and yet came up short. Hard to see where they can improve but I think their performance against Kilkenny would result in a victory for Limerick 9 times out of 10. Roll on 2015!

Ahh lads. Havent been on since August (guess why?) and the second thread I open and I get this. Even with Sam nestleing there in Killarney (on a temporary basis) you still cant resist an ole belly-ache. Never happy. A 5 point turn around in 7 minutes boys. You can blame no one but yourselves. And it WAS sweet.
