Just reading comments there about Galway's tradition and system being suited to a galway manager.. Appointing O Mahoney didnt work out so bad!

It has to be Kevin Walsh for me. Hopefully he can add some structure to Galway's game. In this day and age you need managers who are tactical savvy and can set up the team accordingly on whoever you are playing against.

Galway need to get physically stronger and need a few hardmen. Tactics are no use if you cant compete physically. Galway have been playing nice football for 13 years now while the top team have moved to a different level physically. When they are up to it physically then the tactics start to count.

@unclegerry - It wasn't all down to O'Mahoney. Having a crop of very good footballers goes a long way as well, as O'Mahoney found out when he went back to Mayo.
