As the championship kicks off in earnest. What teams or management are under the most pressure to deliver? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 21/05/2012 16:31:30 1177324 Link 0 |

Certain amount of pressue on the teams from last year that performed aboce expectations, namely Dublin to retain the crown, and Mayo and Donegal to repeat their relatively successful years. But for me, it has to be on Kieran McGeeney to deliver a Leinster at least petejoeduff (Donegal) - Posts: 329 - 21/05/2012 16:42:09 1177340 Link 0 |

has to be banty and his meath team, over all the trouble that has gone on there. kerryluck (Kerry) - Posts: 2517 - 21/05/2012 16:51:40 1177353 Link 0 |

Geezer will be with Kildare for another two years no matter what we win. He's brought a lot to Kildare and as such has the support of the vast majority of the supporters. The team at this stage want to deliver, for themselves and supporters. We're not a fickle lot in Kildare so no pressure on Geezer or the team, the supporters will remain loyal. The only ones insisting Kildare or Geezer need to deliver are outside the county and the team know this too. St.Conleth (Kildare) - Posts: 1745 - 21/05/2012 16:52:15 1177354 Link 0 |

Don't see how any pressure can be on either meath or banty. I don't think anyone expects meath to win a trophy this year. So no pressure at al imo. Banty has to be the manager with least to loose. I'd have to say it has to be mcgeeney without a doubt has to at least win leinster. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 21/05/2012 16:56:49 1177364 Link 0 |

Have to agree with OLLIE, Banty is a dead man walking regardless what happens, anything less than the Delaney Cup one would question has McGeeney brought the KIldare team as far as he can? If both Dublin and Kildare get to the final will Kildare coming out on the loosing side it be will be a painful loss. bluedubstar (Dublin) - Posts: 835 - 21/05/2012 16:57:36 1177367 Link 0 |

As I said banty nothing to loose. Even if he wins leinster I doubt he would be there next year. He knows this so nothing to loose the outcome is predetermined. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 21/05/2012 17:25:25 1177401 Link 0 |

Probably my own county Meath, although I wish it wasn't the case, but Kildare MUST deliver a leinster this year, you can only build a team for so long, although it's tougher to win a Leinster than it is Munster or Connaught. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 21/05/2012 17:26:03 1177402 Link 0 |

McGeeneys job is safe no matter what. sedico (Kildare) - Posts: 1682 - 21/05/2012 17:34:28 1177409 Link 0 |

Phrased that wrongly. Replace delusions of grandeur with 'they think they are actually better than they actually are'. sedico (Kildare) - Posts: 1682 - 21/05/2012 17:51:00 1177424 Link 0 |

Very little pressure on McGeeney from Kildare fans anyways. if_in_doubt (Kildare) - Posts: 3694 - 21/05/2012 17:55:02 1177430 Link 0 |
