Neutral Venue for U-21 Leinster Final

(Oldest Posts First)

Why can anyone answer me is the U-21 final between Westmeath and Dublin in Dublins home venue of Parnell park? Is this the GAA giving Dublin an unfair advantage of a home crowd? Surely Navan or Newbridge would have been more sensible.

All matches are played in home ground of team that's drawn first. Unfortunate perhaps but true. Has tended to work against Dublin in recent year so they're just getting their turn. You have a point about nuetral venues all the same in the light of what happened in Carlow!

The Connacht U-21 Final between Roscommon and Sligo is in Sligo.I think it is just the way with Minor and U-21(and senior in some cases) competitions that they alternate venues of the competing counties from year to year.

Ok here goes. You asked for it.
I,Fred Rickwood on behalf of all Great Rossies, would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all the Rhubarbs for coming from behind with 14 men against the wind and beating them in yesterdays Connacht U-21 semi-final.
I would also like to apologise on behalf of Sligo for goin and havin the cheek and audacity to go and beat Galway in the other semi-final in Tuam.
I will write to the Connacht Gaa chiefs and request that they ensure that next year they just fix a straight final between Mayo and Galway and save them the hassle of havin to face those other timewasters in the province.
