I agree no intelligent defence for this transfer on here it is simple it is a shameful pursuit of glory by Kildare county board....with total disregard for the game as a whole trying to take a short cut to success! pigonastick (Dublin) - Posts: 487 - 29/05/2012 15:30:55 1182918 Link 0 |
let them get in who they want, they tried this lark in the late 90s, without getting their elusive all ireland, they got 2 leinsters ok ,so i suppose thats a big deal for kildare, millhouse (Meath) - Posts: 892 - 29/05/2012 16:17:57 1182971 Link 0 |

Well If anybody didnt think that Seanie was been messed around by the CCCC heres one for you!.........Kfm have reported that the CCCC have referred the transfer back to the CAC for clarification as to what they meant. CCCC were meant to rubberstamp the transfer or appeal the CAC decision to the DRA last night but NO they sent it back to CAC. What a farce! If this committee couldnt characterise what constitutes an objection. Which was the excuse used for the delay and they cant understand the CAC decision then why are these people been appointed and allowed give a judgement if they dont understand whats going on??? Of all the bodies in Croke park the CCCC are the only body that have the power to grant transfers but the higher body that is the CAC wont be impressed with a lower body throwing the case back their way again and they have already dealt with the matter and gave their decision. lilywhitemagic (Kildare) - Posts: 1693 - 29/05/2012 17:46:42 1183082 Link 0 |
If this is accurate I'd just like to say well done to the cccc. Standing up for the gaa whilst others try and erode it with semi professionalism. Again well done cccc. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 29/05/2012 17:58:17 1183091 Link 0 |

I think you don't know the rules, the CCCC cannot appeal the CAC desesion to the DRA. Only a club or county board can, the CCCC cannot. refegle (USA) - Posts: 27 - 29/05/2012 19:34:27 1183151 Link 0 |
To be fair no intelligent comments coming from the Kildare fans that are excited about this transfer....to be fair any kildare person who has the capacity to understand this obviously believes its worng so it is only this lot here that are left to spout out these half wit comments of support pigonastick (Dublin) - Posts: 487 - 29/05/2012 19:48:30 1183162 Link 0 |
In fairness the genuine Kildare fans seem to be against the move. Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 29/05/2012 19:55:56 1183170 Link 0 |
To be fair pigonastick, all you have to do is look at your own counties hurling team. Couple of outsiders in therer too. And don't start blowing off about it being totally different because basically if its ethos everyone is worried about then its the very same. Both SJ and Ryan O'Dwyer have transferred to play with a different county which basically is against the ethos of the GAA. sedico (Kildare) - Posts: 1682 - 29/05/2012 20:11:26 1183194 Link 0 |

I think these sort of comments painting everyone in Kildare with the same brush are fairly dangerous. From talking to the GAA people I know (who were mostly all against the transfer) I can tell you there's a danger that throwing out these broad insults they will end up being a self-fulfilling prophecy. What's the point in trying to defend it when everyone believes you were for it anyway? At some point people are going to get tired of being insulted and start forgetting the objections they had in the first place. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 29/05/2012 20:37:42 1183217 Link 0 |
Oh NO DOUBT in my mind bluedubstar! :) lilywhitemagic (Kildare) - Posts: 1693 - 29/05/2012 20:55:44 1183240 Link 0 |
They are not the same at all Sedico but if you read my 1st post I have said I am uncomfortable with Dublin hurlers picking players from another county who are eligible to play for Dublin. pigonastick (Dublin) - Posts: 487 - 29/05/2012 21:02:28 1183246 Link 0 |
Starting to sound a bit like Man U/Liverpool in here, pointless bickering! I said in previous posts that Kildare will win Leinster, and I stick by it, but I expect to see the Dubs again in August, the 2nd meeting could turn out to be different, should be fun though! lilypad (Kildare) - Posts: 1363 - 29/05/2012 21:45:55 1183311 Link 0 |
Now before everyone gets carried away and starts saying it's a disgrace and similar musings just think about it for more than 30 seconds. smallballs (Monaghan) - Posts: 151 - 29/05/2012 21:46:41 1183312 Link 0 |
