Palatine 2-12
Old Leighlin 2-8
New Laois manager Mick Lillis guided Palatine to their first Conlon Cup success since 2006 at Old Leighlin's expense in Netwatch Cullen Park.
Palatine laid the foundations for their victory in the opening quarter when corner forward Jamie Kenny's goal helped them to a 1-5 to 0-2 lead. But Old Leighlin hit back with an unanswered 1-3 - the goal coming from corner forward Willie Minchin in the 27th minute - to regain parity. However, points from Paul and David Reid ensured the winners of a 1-7 to 1-5 interval lead.
Full forward Ciaran Moran's 38th minute goal extend Palatine's lead to 2-8 to 1-6 before midfielder Hughie Gahan brought Old Leighlin back into it with a superb individual goal.
But Palatine weren't to be denied a fifth title as the experienced Brian Kelly came off the bench to land two insurance points.
