August 30, 2010
Australia manager Mick Malthouse will announce his 23-man squad for the forthcoming International Rules series on September 30.
The Premiership Grand final has been pencilled in for September 25, and Malthouse and his coaching staff of Nathan Buckley, Matthew Lappin and Glen Jakovich will finalise their squad the following week. They have already selected a preliminary squad of around 50.
The squad will train together twice in Australia before departing for Cork on October 16 ahead of the first test at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick seven days later.
Ireland manager Anthony Tohill will begin holding trials as soon as the All-Ireland final is done and dusted on September 19.
