Dubs star passes away

August 28, 2007
Dublin football is in mourning this week after one of the top club footballers in the county passed away just hours after watching the Dubs lose out to Kerry in last Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final. Tom Mulligan (30) played for Dublin on a number of occasions in 2002 and 2003 and had earlier in the week helped his club Round Towers secure a two point win over Kilmacud Crokes. After watching the Dubs at Croke Park, the late Mr. Mulligan returned to his home in Clondalkin but, tragically, during the night he died. No one else is being sought in connection with his death.
