Aidan O'Mahony will miss Kerry's first defence of their Munster senior football title after receiving a straight red card in the Allianz League final.

The vastly-experienced Rathmore defender was dismissed by referee Eddie Kinsella for an off-the-ball incident involving Jonny Cooper in the 50th minute and will be suspended for the Munster SHF semi-final against either Limerick or Clare on June 11/12 as a result. The sending off had a huge impact on proceedings as Kerry succumbed to a late Dublin onslaught to lose on a 0-13 to 2-18 scoreline.

Meanwhile, Dublin have become the first team to win four league titles in-a-row since Kerry in 1971-74. It was also their seventh victory in eight meetings with Kerry at Croke Park since their humiliating 17-point loss to the Kingdom in the 2009 All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.

While the GAA didn't release an official attendance for today's Division 1 and 2 finals, GAA president Aogán Ó Fearghail confirmed that it beat the previous best for a league final which was set in 1964 when 70,126 spectators watched Dublin defeat Down.
