Keaney could return to Dublin duty

Dublin's Conal Keaney.

Conal Keaney isn't ruling out a return to the Dublin hurling squad.

The 33-year-old is currently concentrating on club football, as Ballyboden St Enda's prepare for their All-Ireland club semi-final clash with Clonmel Commercials. It was expected that he would step down from intercounty hurling but the dual star has given manager Ger Cunningham fresh hope that he could prolong his county career:

"I'm just trying to keep everything as simple as possible. I'm playing with the club now and we'll see what happens after that," he told The Irish Daily Mirror.

"I'm not weighing up anything really. I'm going to wait and see how the football goes and how the body is.

"If there are the right circumstances to go back I'll go back and if not. . . that's the way it is at the minute, the same as any of the other of the lads who might be back with Dublin."
