Dublin and Armagh have been issued with the findings of the GAA's investigation into the challenge match that left Davey Byrne in hospital.

According to the Irish Sun, it us understood that the two counties have been hit with fines but neither Dublin or Armagh officials would confirm this.

Byrne was hospitalised for two nights after suffering a broken nose during an altercation before throw-in to the now-infamous SF challenge at Glasnevin.

Referee Fergal Kelly did not make any reference to the flashpoint in his report but the GAA launched a belated probe into the game after Jim Gavin acknowledged an incident did occur in an interview with Newstalk.

Dublin and Armagh have the right to appeal the disciplinary findings.
